Andrew Duff in the European ParliamentAndrew is European Liberal Democrat spokesperson on the Committee on Constitutional Affairs - which is the committee charged with making the EU more democratic and accountable. More about the Constitution for Europe. Andrew is the leader of the Liberal caucus on the Convention which has shaped the draft Constitution for Europe. He is also vice president of the European Parliament delegation. He was also rapporteur on the Charter of Fundamental Rights and as such will play a major part in developing a Bill of Rights for the European citizen. Andrew is also a substitute member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and is a member of the Bureau of the European Parliamentary Intergroup on Constitutional Affairs. Andrew is first vice-president of the Joint Parliamentary delegation to Turkey. The delegation has already met some colleagues from the Turkish parliament with whom Andrew has established a close dialogue on the relationship between Turkey and the European Union.
